perfect weather & eyeglasses

So, yesterday was probably one of the best days EVER. Not because anything fun or interesting happened, but because my mood was PERFECT (:

The weather up here is about 65-70 & I am in love with it. Oh & theres NO humidity! (still hard to believe since I've lived in FL for 12 years)

The only bad things is....

ALLERGIES!!!!

ahhh. Hello: bloody noses, watery eyes, sinus headaches, and continuous sneezing.

I'm also in desperate need of new glasses. I cant remember the last time I got my eyes checked... and the last time I had glasses that worked, I was 9. I had to turn my phone font to "large".... and my computer brightness has been as low as it can go for a month now. Maybe I'll make an appointment somewhere- I think it's about time.


I've been sorta of bored and lonely lately. Mostly because I haven't made any friends up here yet and its been 2 months. I miss my bff like crazy! I'm so used to seeing her practically every day.... and its hard adjusting to not having her around.
BUUUUTTTT! My friend who is a Navy wife just moved here a couple days ago! (: So I'm looking forward to spending time with her and getting out more. :D
& lastly, I'm ADDICTED to Pinterest! Thanks to Sarah@Sunlight After Rain. It is my new favorite thing to do! (Now I just need glasses so I can actually see lol)

Life Lately;

My fishy man, Little Einstein has been such a trooper. I promised him if he made the car ride all the way from Florida to New York, I would buy him a super big tank to swim freely in. Well... he made it, so I had to keep my promise...

So, I died my hair super blonde... (my natural hair color) & it looked absolutely awful. It looked like I washed my hair in highlighter ink & then had a girrafe pee on my head. Yep, it was THAT bad.
But because I went through so much trying to get it blonde... & then dying it dark brown... my hair fried. Completely fried... so I decided to just chop it off & start fresh (:  Sort of a "Chelsea Kane cut" but brown.

A knew I had been upset about my hair & stuff so when he got off of work Wednesday, he brought me a big pretty bouquet of fresh, purple daisies (: They made me feel SO much better.

This week Michael's (craft store) had a pretty awesome sale. So I stocked up on canvases & paint to decorate the house. The only thing is- I haven't done a painting in over a year... I like to call that "Artist's Block"

& the best for last... PEPPERMINT MOCHA ICE COFFEE IN THE SUMMER!!!! :D
I would always get super excited in the winter to get them from Starbucks. Well, while we were grocery shopping, I came across peppermint mocha coffee creamer. My tastebuds have been extremely happy lately :D

I would definitely say PINK. I'm just extremely girly (:

{two} how have you changed in the past year?

I've have certainly grown up so much this past year. I mean, a year ago I was living with my parents & not doing anything at all. & I've gone to living on my own, and now with the love of my life. I'm not nearly the same person that I once was.

{three} have you ever had any surgeries?

The closest thing to surgery would be stitches. Lots and lots of stitches... but I dont think that counts lol

{four} why did you start your blog?

I started my blog to write about my life as a Navy Sweetheart. & it also gives me an opportunity to tell stories about our adventures & include pictures that make my family & friends feel a little closer.

{five} what are you looking forward to this summer?

Camping trips!!! (: I think the first few times will take a bit of getting used to... but I'll be a camp champ by the end of the summer :D

{six} do you have any family traditions for the 4th of July?

A & I haven't been together for 4th of July yet... so I guess this year starts the tradition... hmmmm I better think of something awesome! :D

1.Uhm living with a male. (harder than I thought lol)

definitely 68 degrees. Anything higher than 70 makes me moody.

Beautiful Day (:

Today has been such a lovely Thursday! (:
A came home early enough to eat lunch together at the lake. We've been saving up old bread to feed the geese & we had an entire Walmart bag full! :D
The weather was perfect, not too hot- not too cold & tons of cotton pieces were floating in the air & skimming across the lake. It was so breathtaking! & to top it off, we sat right underneath the draping, canopy of a willow tree.
The geese swam over to us RIGHT as we finished our lunch. There were 3 families... one with about 8 baby geese, another with 3 older babies and the last had the oldest geese. All of the babies were so cute & fuzzy! & Hollandale is great because all of them are super friendly. They literally ate the bread right out of our hands. I even had one constantly sneaking up on me & grabbing whole pieces off of my dress. (& then he kept trying to eat the flower print on my dress... I'm assuming he thought it was bread) :D We had lots of laughs!

Tonight I'm making Chicken Stuffed Peppers for dinner! :D I've never had them, so I'm pretty excited about that. I think the rest of the day is going to be just as wonderful as the beginning. (Maybe I can talk A into going to Friendlys for some icecream!)

Oh My Blog...

It's been over a week since my last entry... crazy!

Well, not too much has happened in past week. A & I went to Massachusetts to visit my grandma & also go to Six Flags. We had a pretty good time... but having my grandma & a child with us prevented us from going on any rollercoasters... LAME. SOOooOoo we will be taking another trip there, just the two of us... or maybe with some friends (our age).

A has been his usual sweetheart self (: Friday afternoon he surprised me with a big yummy ice coffee & some fresh tulips <3 It always makes me so happy! lol I've never had someone constantly bring me flowers "just because". I LOVE IT!

Friday night we decided to have a "night in". We ordered a pizza & some jalepeno poppers from a little place down the road & also bought Monopoly. A was really exited to 'pown' me with his great gaming skills... but uh... I TOTALLY SMOKED HIM! After 4 hours of brutally kicking his bum, we decided to end it.

Saturday night we went out to a delicious Hibachi resturaunt. It was absolutely AMAZING. I even ate shrimp... something I NEVER do. But it was yummy. Following that, we went to a drive-in movie theater. A has never been to one before so it was exciting. There was nothing really good playing though... so we ended up watching The Hangover 2 (I've tried to avoid seeing it... because I personally think its ridiculously stupid) and Bridesmaids played after that.... which we left about 30 minutes into it because it was soooo boring (& late).
